NLNet application- critical jobs
Added by jahoti about 2 years ago
There's a few questions we need input on:
- Firstly, koszko , are you happy to submit the application? Either way is OK; this just needs to be clarified before it can be submitted.
- Is anyone here confident assigning hours to projects? This is currently the critical missing component of setting a budget- the rest is just a matter of deciding an hourly rate and adding up infrastructure costs.
- Does anyone here have any qualifications or experience that might be remotely relevant to this project? It's an available field for bonus points.
As for the application in general, progress is extremely promising and we in a good position to submit a strong and effective application by mid-to-late July.

More than happy. However, I can think of at least 2 ppl in my country I could ask for mentoring. I shall email them both today and perhaps it will make sense to wait a bit for their response/opinion.

Not really. Actually, wouldn't it make more sense to assign projects to hours? We can consume any amount of money, I believe. With more, we can do more things. So we could assume some amount of money to apply for and then select as many of the most important parts of the project plan as we can fund with this amount of money.

We're not going to have the same hourly rate, are we? I believe I am able to work for less than someone in for example US can - because living is probably cheaper here than there
Does anyone here have any qualifications or experience that might be remotely relevant to this project?
I still hope we a mentor we find will have some of these...

That's perfectly fine, sorry- I meant filling out the form to submit whenever we're ready. It asks for name/phone number/e-mail etc., so we need to decide who's going to be the point of contact.

Actually, that would make more sense- especially as there's more funding potential as the project becomes more established. However, it'll still require assigning hours to projects once budgets and rate(s) are settled on.

True, albeit slightly complicating :/. In that case we'll probably need to decide who exactly will be working paid before it's possible to work out available hours and therefore choose projects. Any suggestions?

Hopefully- unless colby has anything of the sort, your degree is really the only thing we have.
