Description

Many swfreedom supporters prefer LibreJS' blocking mechanism. As there's good reason to expect compatability, it would be an immensely beneficial aim.

This issue has been copied as it was a subtask of Feature #31 and blocked changing of its priority

To be clear - another (less probable) interpretation would be that you mean adding LibreJS-style blocking as an option to Hachette

Yes indeed- the "good reason" is why we expect it would be, too, not why it ought to be.

It also seems I neglected to note that this depends on Hachette allowing "native scripts"; obviously if we block everything anyway LibreJS won't work.

You mean globally allowing? Not necessarily. I can easily imagine a user wanting to block most of the stuff with Hachette and only use LibreJS instead on several selected sites.

That's a fair point! Testing operation alongside LibreJS might already be possible then.

Compatibility is confirmed for IceCat 60, which is sufficient assuming there are no functional differences that would suggest otherwise for different browsers.
